Château Potensac has a long family history. Indeed, this estate belongs to the Delon family since a very long time and has always been passed down from generation to generation by the women of the family. Today, the estate is run by Jean-Hubert Delon, who keeps it from his paternal grandmother, Georgette Liquard. Chateau Potensac Is generally recognized as one of the major growths of the Médoc appellation. Moreover, it is the only one, at the classification of Crus Bourgeois of 2003 of the Médoc appellation, to have been classified Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. La Chapelle de Potensac was created and released by Jean-Hubert Delon in 2002. This elegant second wine made with respect for tradition has a very good balance based on roundness and freshness.
At the tasting, this second wine expresses all its freshness and finesse, with certainly less power than its big brother, but with an expulsion of much younger fruit which allows to have a wine at its peak earlier.
Grapes: 56% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot
