A classic blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre with 12 to 16 months aging in barrel.
A ruby-red colour. Characterful, robust, full bodied and earthy. A nose of peppery, berried fruit, warm and generous. Similarly, the palate is floral then spicy with superb tannic structure.
This A.O.C. covers sandy molasses, clay or old alluvial deposits with shingles. The grapes are hand-harvested at maturity and vinified in the traditional way with daily pumping-over.
Drink with lamb shank in soft spices, casseroles, or cheeses.
